The Highland Belles concluded their annual two weeks of  "Two-a-Day" practices on August 22.  Lots of hard work went into the 6:45am to 3:00pm daily schedule.  The group learned new routines for pep rallies, halftime performances and competed for honor squads.  The Belles are under the direction of Christie Crummel.  Former Belles director, Cathy Wheat, provided assistance during Christie's HPHS in-service commitments.  

Belles who were selected for the All-American Dance Team are: Latané Barnes, Amy Casey, Meredith Guehlstorf, Audrey Kerr, Isabel O’Neill,  Leigh Reed, Laine Sowell, Rachel Sylvan and Mary Williams.

Belles named to the Kick Company are: Amy Casey, Meredith Barnes, Toby Finegold, Jordan Gray, Ali Kyle, and Laura Laycock.  Jordan Gray was named Miss High Kick.

The Belles concluded their two weeks of hard work with a fun Belles’ Night Out.  They begin their season with a halftime performance at the Tom Landry Classic at SMU's Ford Stadium on August 30, 2008 at 8:00pm.  The Highland Park Scots will play the Red Oak Hawks.
